After entering the park, we walk through forest paths for about 20 minutes before reaching this open space. Suddenly, the tall temple appears in front of us, surrounded by ancient buildings and green jungle.

Visitors cannot climb the Great Jaguar Temple today because the structure needs protection. However, we can enjoy beautiful views from the plaza and nearby paths. Early morning is especially wonderful because the temperature is cooler and the light is softer for photography.

Best Time To Visit

The best period to explore the Great Jaguar Temple is usually from November to April.

Dry Season:

From November to April, rainfall is lower, and walking conditions are more comfortable. This period is ideal for long exploration.

Rainy Season:

From May to October, showers are more frequent, but the rainforest becomes brighter and greener.

The temperature remains warm throughout the year, usually around 30°C or higher. We recommend bringing:
